I wanted new floors...

..I just didn't want to go this route to get them.

Apparently the flap that separates the upstairs water outflow and the downstairs water outflow got lodged open by those "flushable" wipes that we use to wipe Will's butt.  SO, the water from upstairs came into the downstairs pipes and out through the toilet.  We had an inch or two of sitting water in the downstairs hallway when we woke up Monday morning and the carpet was sopping wet.  I called a plumber and they came out and cleaned out the pipes and everything is back in working order.  Now comes the fun part... we called our State Farm agent and he told us to call a Restoration company to come check it out.  When the guy came out, he pulled out his moisture meter and discovered that the water had been all the way into the living room and almost into the dining room.. he basically said we would meet our deductable and some.  They ripped up the carpet and the hardwoods and are in the process of getting everything dried out.  Bad news is, they don't think we'll have floors until the first of the year :(  Wah.
